Ormskirk Mark Lodge No.734. Advancement 14th March 2024

Here we are again Brethren, attending Ormskirk Masonic Hall, for another Advancement. What better reason could one have for a visit.

Arriving at the hall, I was greeted by the usual rain shower, which every single time, attacks me while paying at the lethargic parking machine.

Once inside though, the usual warm welcome, we have come to expect at Ormskirk Mark Lodge, was waiting to greet both myself, and V.W.Bro. Maurice, whom I had collected on the way.

The business this evening brethren, was to Advance Bro. Pejman Fahari Ghalati, who later declared himself happy to be addressed as Pej.

The lodge was opened in due form, with the assistance of V.W. Bro. Maurice Evans, and W.Bro’s Kevin Chicken and Roy Hedges, all of whom were more than happy to assist.
Bro. Pejman was admitted and examined. After passing examination and giving the proofs, the W.M. obligated and entrusted him, before he retired with the deacons.

Being re admitted, the Overseers proceed to lambast Bro. Pejman for the Quality of his work, especially V.W.Bro. Maurice, acting M.O., but we all know how that turned out!

Having been Advanced by W.Bro. Anthony Prior, in good form,  V.W.Bro. Maurice, as Special representative, delivered a personal letter from the R.W.P.G.M. to Bro. Pejman, explaining. Amongst other things, this superb dining offer at P.G.M.

Maurice then was invited to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Alex Sharp, who, the eagle eyed of you will remember, was advanced at the January meeting. Only too happy to help, Maurice was again on his feet.
The lodge was closed in due form.
The W.M. congratulates the candidate, Bro. Pejman, accompanied by other Officers
.
V.W.Bro. Maurice welcomes Bro. Pejman to the Lodge and into our Order
At the festive board, the fayre of fish and chips was enjoyed by all.

I had the good pleasure of sitting next to Pej, a Pharmacist in Liverpool, a member of Merchants Lodge, meeting at Hope St. Excellent company and food.

Will be back soon.
